ScrapingBee vs ScraperAPI Pricing and Cost per 1,000 Scraped Pages

Short answer: both start at 49 USD a month, and neither sticker tells you the bill. ScrapingBee is cheaper for plain and JavaScript rendered pages and for Google results. ScraperAPI is cheaper for Cloudflare protected pages and Amazon, because its anti-bot surcharge is 10 credits where ScrapingBee's stealth proxy is 75.

ScrapingBee and ScraperAPI end up on the same shortlist for good reason. Both are proxy APIs: you send a URL, they rotate the address, render the page if you ask, and send back HTML. Both sell monthly plans of credits, and both have an entry plan at exactly 49 USD. That symmetry is what makes the comparison hard, because a credit on one is not a credit on the other.

This article prices both on one scale, dollars per 1,000 pages, for the targets teams actually scrape. Plans were read from scrapingbee.com/pricing and scraperapi.com/pricing on October 14, 2026, monthly billing in USD. Credit costs come from each vendor's own credit documentation, which we last checked in late September and which the pricing pages still match. We sell a scraping API that competes with both, so we say plainly where each one is the better buy. The per vendor detail is in our ScrapingBee pricing breakdown and ScraperAPI pricing breakdown.

On the plan table alone ScrapingBee looks like the clear winner: at 49 USD it gives two and a half times the credits, and at 99 USD it matches ScraperAPI's 149 USD plan. ScraperAPI also takes 10 percent off for yearly billing, which ScrapingBee's page does not show. None of that is the real price yet, because the two vendors charge very different numbers of credits for the same page.

How ScrapingBee and ScraperAPI count credits per page

ScrapingBee prices by feature. A request through its classic proxies without JavaScript costs 1 credit. Turning on rendering, which is the default, makes it 5. Premium proxies cost 10 without rendering and 25 with it. The stealth proxy, the one meant for the hardest anti-bot systems, costs 75. Google URLs have their own rate of 15 credits on classic or premium proxies.

ScraperAPI prices by feature and by domain. A normal page costs 1 credit, and rendering and premium proxies each add 10. Certain domains carry a fixed rate whatever you set: 5 for Amazon, Walmart and eBay, 25 for any Google or Bing subdomain, 30 for LinkedIn. A Cloudflare, DataDome or PerimeterX bypass adds 10.

JavaScript rendered page511
Rendered page on premium proxies2521
Google results page1525
Amazon product page10, premium proxy usually needed5
Cloudflare protected page75, stealth proxy11, bypass add on

The Amazon row carries one assumption, so test it: ScrapingBee has no Amazon specific rate, and whether classic proxies get through depends on volume and region. The Cloudflare row is the big one. Stealth exists because classic and premium proxies fail on the hardest targets, and at 75 credits it costs about seven times what ScraperAPI charges for the same job.

Cost per 1,000 pages on both

Credits per page times the plan's price per credit. Two plan levels for each: the 49 USD entry plans, and the 249 and 299 USD Business plans where most production teams land.

Cloudflare protected page14.70 USD5.39 USD6.23 USD1.10 USD

Read the table by row, not by column. On the entry plans ScrapingBee wins every row except Cloudflare, mostly because its 49 USD buys 250,000 credits against 100,000. On Business plans the gap narrows for ordinary pages and reverses for Amazon and protected sites, where ScraperAPI's domain rate and cheap bypass do the work.

Monthly budgets for four real workloads

Each workload on the cheapest plan of each vendor that covers it, monthly billing, no overage. The last column is our flat price for the same pages, for reference.

WorkloadScrapingBeeScraperAPIFlat per page
500,000 plain static pages99 USD, Startup149 USD, Startup499 USD, Scale
100,000 rendered pages, ordinary sites99 USD, Startup (500,000 credits)299 USD, Business (1,100,000 credits)149 USD, Growth
1,000 keywords tracked daily on Google, top 1099 USD, Startup (450,000 credits)149 USD, Startup (750,000 credits)49 USD, Starter
200,000 rendered pages behind Cloudflare1,599 USD, Enterprise 24 (15,000,000 credits)475 USD, Scaling (4,200,000 credits)149 USD, Growth

The first two rows belong to ScrapingBee and we would not argue with them. Static pages at half a million a month are its home ground, and our flat price is the most expensive option there. The rank tracking row is the pattern that surprises people on ScraperAPI: 25 credits per Google page turns a 30,000 request job into 750,000 credits. The last row is where ScrapingBee's stealth rate turns a mid size job into an enterprise contract.

Which one to pick for which job

Pick ScrapingBee when most of your pages are ordinary sites that load with classic proxies, rendered or not, and when you search Google often. Its entry plans give the most credits for the money, its concurrency is higher at every price point, and the 19 USD Hobby plan is the cheapest way into either vendor.

Pick ScraperAPI when your list is dominated by Amazon, Walmart and eBay, or by sites behind Cloudflare, DataDome or PerimeterX. Its fixed marketplace rate and 10 credit bypass are cheaper than ScrapingBee's premium and stealth proxies, and its structured endpoints for Amazon and Google return parsed JSON rather than HTML.

If you only need to know when a competitor changes a price or a product page, rather than scrape the page yourself, a brand and competitor monitoring service can be cheaper than either API plus the code to diff results. If you need the raw data in your own pipeline, read on.

When a flat price per page beats both

Credit pricing rewards you for knowing your mix in advance. It punishes the mix you did not plan for: a retailer that turns on Cloudflare in March, a client who adds Google tracking, a crawl that renders pages it did not need to. The rate card stays the same and the invoice moves.

Our plans charge one successful request per page whatever the target: 0.98 USD per 1,000 on Starter, 0.60 on Growth and 0.33 on Scale, half that on yearly billing. Residential and datacenter proxies, rendering, retries and field extraction are in that price, and blocked pages are never billed. A Google results page is one request on the SERP API, and a protected page is one request through the Cloudflare scraping API. That flat rate is why the last two rows of the budget table come out at 49 and 149 USD.

For half a million plain pages it is the wrong buy, and we said so above. Most teams scraping for money have the opposite problem: their hard targets are the valuable ones. Run a week of your real URL list through each vendor's trial and our plans, count credits per page, and price the month three ways.

Questions buyers ask

Is ScrapingBee cheaper than ScraperAPI? For plain pages, rendered pages and Google results, yes: its 49 USD plan has 250,000 credits against 100,000, and rendering costs 5 credits against 11. For Amazon and Cloudflare protected pages, no, because ScraperAPI charges 5 and 11 credits where ScrapingBee needs premium or stealth proxies at 10 to 75.

Which is better for web scraping, ScrapingBee or ScraperAPI? Neither wins everywhere. ScrapingBee suits broad lists of ordinary sites and offers higher concurrency per dollar. ScraperAPI suits marketplaces and anti-bot protected targets and adds parsed endpoints for Amazon and Google. Test both on your own URLs, since success rates on your targets matter more than the rate card.

How much does ScrapingBee cost? Hobby is 19 USD for 75,000 credits, Freelance 49 USD for 250,000, Startup 99 USD for 1,000,000, Business 249 USD for 3,000,000 and Business + 599 USD for 8,000,000, with enterprise tiers from 999 USD. A rendered page costs 5 credits, so Freelance covers 50,000 rendered pages.

How much does ScraperAPI cost? Hobby is 49 USD for 100,000 credits, Startup 149 USD for 1,000,000, Business 299 USD for 3,000,000 and Scaling 475 USD for 5,000,000, then Professional and Advanced at 975 and 1,975 USD. Yearly billing takes 10 percent off. A Google results page costs 25 credits.

Do ScrapingBee and ScraperAPI charge for failed requests? Both state that they bill successful requests only and treat a 404 as a successful answer. A block that the API cannot get past is not charged on either. The cost of hard targets shows up instead in the premium, stealth and bypass credits needed to get a success at all.

Is there a cheaper alternative to ScrapingBee and ScraperAPI? For protected pages and Google results, a flat per page API usually is. On WebScrap every successful page costs 0.33 to 0.98 USD per 1,000 whatever the target, with proxies and rendering included. For large volumes of plain static pages, ScrapingBee's Startup plan stays cheaper. The ScraperAPI alternative page prices the switch target by target, and the ZenRows vs ScrapingBee pricing comparison covers the other common shortlist.
