Decodo is the company that used to be Smartproxy, and most people who search its pricing arrive from the proxy side. The residential proxy prices (from about 2 to 4 USD per GB) are what the review sites cover. This article is about the other product, the Web Scraping API, which Decodo relaunched with a new price list: you pick the proxy pool and rendering per request and pay a different rate for each combination.
The plans and rates below were read from decodo.com/scraping/web/pricing on 29 September 2026, including the enterprise tab. Prices in this market move several times a year, so check the live page before you sign anything.
The Decodo Web Scraping API plans
There are four regular plans, including a free one, and four enterprise plans that you can see on the pricing page but buy through sales. Every plan lists four rates, one per request type, and a rate limit in requests per second. Prices are billed monthly and shown plus VAT where it applies.
| Plan | Standard | Standard + JS | Premium | Premium + JS | Rate limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free, 0 USD | 0.50 | 0.75 | 1.00 | 1.50 | 10 per second |
| 19 USD | 0.50 | 0.75 | 1.00 | 1.50 | 10 per second |
| 49 USD | 0.30 | 0.65 | 0.90 | 1.25 | 25 per second |
| 99 USD | 0.14 | 0.60 | 0.85 | 1.20 | 50 per second |
| Enterprise 249 USD | 0.12 | 0.55 | 0.80 | 1.15 | 100 to 200 per second |
| Enterprise 499 USD | 0.11 | 0.50 | 0.75 | 1.10 | 100 to 200 per second |
| Enterprise 999 USD | 0.10 | 0.45 | 0.70 | 1.05 | 100 to 200 per second |
| Enterprise 1,499 USD | 0.09 | 0.40 | 0.65 | 1.00 | 100 to 200 per second |
All rates are USD per 1,000 requests. Standard means Decodo's ordinary proxy pool, which it recommends for low security sites. Premium means the pool it recommends for guarded pages. JS means the page is rendered in a browser. Every plan includes the same features (templates, markdown output, the MCP server), and there is a 14 day money back option on paid plans.
What "707K requests" on the 99 USD plan really means
The pricing page lists a request count next to every rate. On the 99 USD plan it reads 707K standard, 165K standard with JS, 116K premium and 82K premium with JS. The headline most people remember is 707,000.
Do the division and the pattern is plain: 99 divided by 0.14 per 1,000 is 707,000. 99 divided by 0.60 is 165,000. 99 divided by 1.20 is 82,500. The counts are the plan fee divided by each rate. They are alternatives, not four allowances stacked together. You get 99 USD worth of requests, and each kind of request draws that balance down at its own rate.
So 707,000 is what you get only if every single page is a plain fetch on the standard pool with no rendering. The moment a site needs a browser, the same plan covers 165,000 pages. If it also needs the premium pool, 82,000. That is not hidden (the rates are on the page), but none of the reviews ranking for this search spell it out, and it is the number that decides your budget. The same arithmetic runs through Oxylabs' included results, where the headline figure is priced at the cheapest target.
The same goes for the "from 0.09 USD per 1K" line in Decodo's menu. That is the standard rate on the 1,499 USD enterprise plan. On the 19 USD plan a rendered page costs 0.75.
Decodo cost per 1,000 pages by plan and page type
Since the rates are already per 1,000 requests, the useful conversion is into pages per month for the money. This is what each regular plan buys if all your pages are of one kind.
| Plan | Plain pages | Rendered pages | Premium pages | Premium rendered pages |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 2,000 | 1,000 | 1,000 | 667 |
| 19 USD | 38,000 | 25,000 | 19,000 | 12,000 |
| 49 USD | 163,000 | 75,000 | 54,000 | 39,000 |
| 99 USD | 707,000 | 165,000 | 116,000 | 82,000 |
| Enterprise 499 USD | 4,500,000 | 998,000 | 665,000 | 453,000 |
The spread between the first and last column is the thing to plan around. On the 99 USD plan, plain pages are 8.6 times cheaper than premium rendered ones. On the enterprise plans the gap grows to 10 or 11 times, because the standard rate falls much faster than the premium rendered one as you move up.
The breakeven against flat per request pricing
Our plans charge one rate for every successful page, rendered or not, protected or not: 0.98 USD per 1,000 on the 49 USD Starter plan, 0.60 on Growth at 149 USD and 0.33 on Scale at 499 USD. Line that up against Decodo at the same spend.
At 49 USD, Decodo is cheaper for plain pages (0.30), rendered pages (0.65) and even premium pages without rendering (0.90). Flat pricing only wins on premium rendered pages, 0.98 against 1.25. At 499 USD the picture moves: Decodo's plain pages stay cheaper (0.11 against 0.33), but rendered pages cost 0.50 against 0.33, premium 0.75 and premium rendered 1.10, which is 3.3 times our rate.
In plain terms: on a small budget Decodo is cheaper unless your targets are protected. At volume it is cheaper only for static HTML. That is a stronger position than most credit based vendors we have converted, and it deserves saying.
Real budgets, Decodo against flat per request pricing
Six realistic monthly workloads, each priced at the cheapest Decodo plan whose balance covers it, against the cheapest of our plans that covers the page count.
| Monthly workload | Decodo cost at plan rates | Decodo plan | Flat per request |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250,000 plain pages | 35 USD | 99 USD | 149 USD, Growth |
| 1,000,000 plain pages | 120 USD | 249 USD, enterprise | 499 USD, Scale |
| 50,000 rendered pages | 33 USD | 49 USD | 49 USD, Starter |
| 50,000 premium rendered pages | 60 USD | 99 USD | 49 USD, Starter |
| 200,000 rendered, one in five premium | 134 USD | 249 USD, enterprise | 149 USD, Growth |
| 1,000,000 rendered pages | 450 USD | 999 USD, enterprise | 499 USD, Scale |
Two rows need a note. The 200,000 page mix costs 144 USD at 99 USD plan rates, just over that plan's balance, so it lands on the 249 USD tier. And the last row is close: the 499 USD enterprise tier covers 998,000 rendered pages, 2,000 short, so a sales conversation may well get you there for 499. We priced it at the listed tier. The plain page rows go the other way and by a lot, and we would not argue with them.
Where Decodo is the right buy
Static HTML at any volume. At 0.09 to 0.14 USD per 1,000 on the 99 USD plan and up, plain pages are two to nearly four times cheaper than our Scale rate. If your targets are news sites, public records or simple catalogs that load without a browser, Decodo is the better price.
Rate limits on small budgets. The 19 USD plan allows 10 requests per second and the 49 USD plan 25, where our Starter runs 5 concurrent requests. For many short requests on a small budget, that matters more than the per page rate.
Proxies and scraping from one vendor. If you also buy residential or ISP proxies, keeping both on one account and one invoice is a real convenience. Decodo also sells a separate search results product, its Fast Search API, listed from 0.40 USD per 1,000; our own numbers for that job are on the SERP API page.
Where flat per request pricing wins
Protected sites. A retailer behind Cloudflare, a travel site behind Akamai or a marketplace behind DataDome usually needs the premium pool and a browser, which is Decodo's most expensive rate on every plan. On a flat plan it costs what a static page costs, and refused attempts are not billed.
Forecasting. With per type rates, you choose the pool and rendering for each request. That is good control, but it also means your code decides your bill, and when a target upgrades its defenses the right setting moves from standard to premium rendered, a jump of 3 to 11 times per page depending on the plan. If a data vendor has to go through your company's procurement process with a fixed annual budget, a number that does not move with the target list is easier to get approved.
Rendered pages at volume. On our Growth plan a rendered page costs the same 0.60 as on Decodo's 99 USD plan, and at Scale it is 0.33 against 0.50 on Decodo's 499 USD tier, a third cheaper. For a pipeline that renders most of what it fetches, that adds up.
Most workloads are a mix. Use Decodo's free plan and our plans on your real target list for a day, write down which request type each target actually needed, and price the month both ways. The tables above will tell you which side of the line you are on.
Questions buyers ask
How much does Decodo's Web Scraping API cost? The regular plans are free, 19, 49 and 99 USD a month, and the enterprise plans are 249, 499, 999 and 1,499 USD. Each plan charges 0.09 to 1.50 USD per 1,000 requests depending on whether you use standard or premium proxies and whether the page is rendered with JavaScript.
Does Decodo have a free plan? Yes. The free plan charges the same rates as the 19 USD plan against a small balance, which works out to 2,000 plain requests, 1,000 rendered or premium requests, or 667 premium rendered ones. It is enough to test your hardest target, not to run a job.
Is Decodo the same as Smartproxy? Yes. Smartproxy renamed itself Decodo in 2025, and the site still describes itself as formerly smartproxy.com. The accounts, proxies and scraping products carried over, but the Web Scraping API prices are new, so older Smartproxy reviews quote plans that no longer exist.
How much does Decodo cost per GB? Per GB pricing applies to Decodo's proxies, not the Web Scraping API. The residential proxy page lists pay as you go at 4 USD per GB, with monthly plans falling to about 2 USD per GB at the largest sizes. The scraping API is billed per request instead.
Is Decodo cheaper than ScrapingBee or ZenRows? For plain and rendered pages on a small budget, yes. At 49 USD a rendered page costs 0.65 per 1,000 on Decodo against about 0.98 on ScrapingBee, where rendering costs 5 credits. For premium rendered pages the credit vendors are dearer still, as our ZenRows conversion shows, and for LLM extraction the Firecrawl numbers move the same way. Decodo's per type rates are simply lower than most.
Does Decodo charge for failed requests? Decodo says you pay for successful requests. ScraperAPI, ScrapingBee, Zyte, ZenRows and we bill the same way, so it is standard in this market rather than a reason to pick one vendor.
