Job Scraping API to Scrape Job Postings and Job Boards

One API call returns a public job posting or a page of search results as typed JSON: title, company, location, salary range, work model and posted date. Run it hourly across boards and career pages, and new roles land in your CRM or database before a competing recruiter sees them.

What a job scraping API does for a hiring business

A job scraping API collects public job postings from job boards and company career pages on a schedule and hands them back as structured records. You name the fields once, point it at the searches you care about, and it handles proxies, JavaScript rendering, blocks and parsing, so your team works leads instead of maintaining a crawler.

The buyers are consistent: staffing and recruiting agencies looking for companies that are hiring right now, job aggregators and niche job boards filling their listings, HR and compensation analytics teams tracking salary bands, and sales teams whose best signal is a company opening roles in their category.

What one call returns

You choose the field names. These are the ones staffing and data teams ask for most, and every one comes back typed, so a salary is two numbers and a date is a date.

TargetFields you get back
Job postingtitle, company, location, remote or hybrid, employment type, seniority, salary minimum and maximum, currency, posted date, apply URL, full description text
Job search pagethe list of postings for a keyword and a location, with position, posting identifier and link, plus the next page
Company career pageevery open role on the page, department, office, the applicant tracking system behind it, and the link to each posting
Company profilename, industry, size band, headquarters, website, so each posting can be matched to an account in your CRM

Public means public. The API holds no accounts, forwards no credentials and does not view anything a signed in visitor would see. For LinkedIn specifically, the scope is set out on the LinkedIn scraper API page.

Who pays for job posting data, and why

  • Staffing and recruiting agencies

A company that posts five engineering roles in a week has a budget and a gap. Scrape job postings for your specialty and your metro every hour, match them to accounts, and your business development team calls the hiring manager while the role is still fresh, instead of finding it three weeks later with twelve other agencies.

  • Job aggregators and niche job boards

A niche board lives or dies on listing volume. Job board scraping across employer career pages keeps the board full with original postings, and scheduled runs remove roles as soon as they close, so candidates never apply to a dead listing.

  • HR, compensation and labor analytics

Pay transparency laws in states such as California, Colorado, Washington and New York put salary ranges on a large share of US postings. Collected across an industry, those ranges become a live compensation benchmark that updates every day rather than once a year.

  • B2B sales and market intelligence

A company hiring a data platform lead is about to buy data tools. Hiring signals by role, technology and location feed intent scoring and territory planning, and the same crawl can watch competitors expand into new cities.

How it works in four steps

  1. Step 1

    Pick the sources

Search URLs on the boards you track, plus the career pages of your target accounts.

  2. Step 2

    Name the fields

Title, company, salary range, location, posted date. Plain names, no selectors to maintain.

  3. Step 3

    Schedule the run

Hourly or daily. Rotation, rendering and retries happen on our side, and blocked attempts are not billed.

  4. Step 4

    Receive clean rows

JSON to your webhook or pulled by your code, deduplicated, ready for the CRM, the warehouse or a sheet.

The request itself is a few lines in any language. The Python web scraping quickstart shows the loop that pages through search results and loads them into pandas, and the API docs cover scheduled jobs and webhooks.

Scrape job postings yourself, buy a feed, or use an API

There are three honest ways to get job data. Each one wins somewhere.

OptionWhere it winsWhere it costs you
Your own scriptsA handful of undefended career pages, low volume, an engineer with spare timeLarge job boards block plain requests quickly. Proxies, headless browsers and a parser per site become a permanent maintenance job
A packaged job data feedYou want a fixed national dataset and never need to choose the sourcesUsually annual contracts in the thousands of dollars, fixed fields, and no control over which boards or accounts are covered
A job scraping APIYou choose the sources and fields, pay monthly by volume, and add a new board with one URLSomeone on your side writes the few lines that call it and decides where the rows go

Job scraping questions buyers ask

Is it legal to scrape job postings?

Collecting job postings that anyone can open without logging in is generally lawful in the US, and courts have declined to treat reading public pages as unauthorized access. The obligations attach to what you store: recruiter names and emails are personal data under CCPA and similar laws, and terms you actively accepted can bind you by contract. The case law is in is web scraping legal. None of this is legal advice.

Can you scrape Indeed job postings?

Public Indeed search results and job pages can be fetched like any public page, but Indeed runs aggressive bot detection, so a plain script is blocked within minutes. Rotating residential addresses plus browser rendering get through reliably, which is what the web scraping proxy layer does on every request. Indeed's terms restrict automated access, so read them before you build a business on that feed.

How much does a job scraping API cost?

WebScrap starts at 49 USD per month for 50,000 successful requests, and 149 USD per month buys 250,000 requests with scheduled jobs included. One request returns one search page or one posting, so a feed that picks up about 2,000 new postings a day fits the Growth plan. Failed, blocked and timed out requests are never billed.

Can I scrape company career pages as well as job boards?

Yes. Career pages hosted on Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and custom sites are public pages, and the same field list works across all of them. Many staffing teams prefer career pages, because the role appears there first and carries the original salary range. To crawl every posting on a domain, the website scraper follows links by depth and URL pattern.

How do I avoid duplicate job postings from different boards?

Match on company, normalized title and location, then keep the earliest posted date. The same role often appears on three boards and the employer's own page, so deduplication is what turns a scrape into a usable lead list. Returning typed fields makes that match reliable, because titles and locations arrive clean instead of buried in markup.

How often should job postings be scraped?

Hourly for recruiting and sales signals, daily for analytics. A role that closes within days is still worth a call, and the moment a posting disappears is a signal in itself, since it usually means the role was filled. Scheduled jobs come with the Growth plan and above.
